Privacy Policy

The management of Domus Financial Corporation respects the mandate to protect the privacy of our clients.

We request information from our clients such as their dates of birth, social insurance numbers, income and employment information, asset and liability information and such other information that we deem necessary in our sole discretion. Our purpose in collecting such information is to evaluate our clients’ eligibility for mortgage financing.

We share this information with management of financial institutions, private lenders and credit reporting agencies, in accordance with legislation and contractual agreements that have been made, in order to provide the services that our clients request of us. These third parties have also instituted policies with respect to the collection, use and storage of personal information.

We do not share our clients’ personal information with any parties other than those stated in this Policy Statement and we use it only for the purpose for which it was requested.

We will, upon receipt of a written request, provide copies to our clients of the personal information that we have collected, provided that we are permitted to do so by legislation and by contract.

The management of Domus Financial Corporation trains the company’s staff on the proper collection, use and storage of our clients’ personal information. Our staff understands the relevance and purpose of this Policy Statement and the applicable legislation.

We store and protect the confidentiality of our clients’ personal information by maintaining procedures and using technology that is designed to prevent unauthorized access to both electronic databases and paper files.
